The Devil

Wants To Tell You...

Modern life is chaotic; you are always encouraged to overindulge yourself with social media, unhealthy foods, and a vibrant social life. There are always incredibly high standards set by others that are imposed on the general public, and they are nearly impossible to ignore! You are beginning to see the effects of this, being consumed by anxiety.

The Devil card is warning you that you desperately need to take a moment away from it all before it completely overtakes you. You can be freed from the chains Baphomet has set in place for Adam and Eve, but it must begin with a serious wake-up call from yourself.

Take a Vacation

It’s time to literally step away from everything. Your current situation is so overwhelming that it is drastically impacting your mental health. You can take more sustainable approaches to change your situation later, but right now, you must at least start with some baby steps to ease your mind.

Allow yourself at least a few days away from the hustle and bustle. You don’t need to travel far; you can even have a bit of a staycation if that feels more viable at the moment. The goal is to simply unplug from the noise around you because it is causing you to panic.

Even Adam and Eve could have freed themselves from Baphomet’s trap. Instead, they put him on a pedestal, allowing him to take control over their lives.

Everyone is subjected to temptation–we’re all human. That’s not really the problem here. Right now, your spirit guides are practically shouting at you to calm down. You are physically overwhelming yourself to the point where you feel trapped with no way out of your current larger-than-life stressful circumstances!

Change Your Perspective

Much of this stress was likely caused due to the opinions of others. You see tons of content each day that promotes a “dream lifestyle” which often comes with extremely high standards. You become obsessed with “FOMO” (the fear of missing out) to the point where you make reckless decisions to stay in the loop. All of this is completely unnecessary to live a happy, fulfilled life.

Give yourself at least a day away from your phone, and a day off work. It’s hard to completely remove yourself from your responsibilities for long, but you can at least have an hour of solitude. During this time, reconnect with the things that make you happy. You have lost your sense of self; interacting only with things that uplift you is the best way out of the hole you’re in right now.

Even Baphomet himself didn’t leave an inescapable trap. The Lovers made it out of the Devil’s chains, though it wasn’t without major struggles. Remember, the Tower comes after the Devil; you can do this the easy way or the hard way, but changing your perspective now might spare you from a world-shattering Tower moment later on when you burn out.

You Got This!

Right now, you likely just need some encouragement. You’ve come so far, and it’s time to acknowledge that. However, seeking outside validation will only keep you trapped in your own mind and chained to Baphomet’s pedestal.

Instead, remind yourself of everything you’ve done. When you have your self-care day, write a list of things you’re proud of. This can be anything that you have accomplished, big or small. The goal is to recognize how even little things help you get to where you need to be. All you need to do is free yourself from the confines of your own mind!
