Sometimes, our desires can feel impossible to achieve. You constantly hear the opinions of others, whether they are told directly to you, or shown to you on social media. Everyone has something to say, and their words can cause serious damage to your progress. Constantly hearing negative people tell you that you can’t do something only leads to you blocking your own blessings out of fear.
The Devil is a dramatic card; it looks impossible for Adam and Eve to break free from Baphomet’s chains, and they’ve even taken his form a bit with horns and a tail of their own. But it leaves one to wonder how much of this struggle was self-imposed.
It’s never too late to change your mindset, even if you feel as though you’re chained to the Devil’s pedestal. Look at the way he is larger-than-life, towering over everybody. His looming, overbearing sense of self represents the grandiose nature of anxiety that can eventually become self-limiting beliefs if left untapped. Eventually, they become the only thing you can look at. He stands this way on purpose, reminding you that he has power over you–because you let him.
What would you do if you knew you could not fail? The cool thing about life is that you’re more capable than you know. Why would you want something that you could not have? Of course, some circumstances might prevent you from physically obtaining something. But when you release those factors, you realize that your dream job or relationship exists if you put in the effort to get it.
Simply put, your mindset is keeping you trapped to Baphomet. He loves to make you feel bad about yourself, but you have the power to release yourself from his chains. Remember, anything that you can visualize with your mind can be yours.
Even the most confident people on the planet, who go on to become successful billionaires, have had moments of self-doubt. The only difference between you and them, at least right now, is that you are letting this self-doubt consume you. It is reaching the point where it is becoming a part of your identity.
You are so much more than your anxious thoughts. It is clear that everything appears dark to you right now, like the blackness surrounding Baphomet, but you have all the power in the world to turn the light back on.
This might take a bit of time, since growth is a nonlinear process. But the best way to free yourself from these restrictions is to divert your attention away from the things that are trapping you.
If the culprit is a negative person who is making your low self-esteem worse, cut them off. You aren’t a bad person for removing negative, harmful energies from your presence. In fact, they are merely projecting their own insecurities onto you, so this separation would help you both.
Otherwise, simply be proactive in your life by engaging only with things and people who serve you. Hang out with friends and partners who lift you up, not bring you down or belittle you. If social media is causing this unhealthy mindset, learn when to log off. You can also block certain creators or filter out words so the algorithm stops showing you harmful content.
Ultimately, you can redevelop your sense of self-love by changing your own circumstances. Remember, you are not chained to Baphomet’s pedestal. He just wants to make you think that you are.
