For this luck reading, you drew The Tower.

Ouch!

No one likes getting the Tower. It is easily the most uncomfortable card in the entire tarot deck. It promises doom and gloom, often at an alarmingly fast pace. You never know exactly what it will bring, but it’s almost never pretty and it will almost always catch you off guard.

Even the imagery of the Tower is a bit terrifying. The tower itself is collapsing, burning down, and getting struck by lighting. People are falling out of it from windows, trying to save their own lives. We never truly figure out if they end up okay, or with broken limbs.

The bad news is you are in for an extraordinarily bumpy ride when you get the Tower card. Known as “Tower moments” by tarot enthusiasts, these periods of shakeup are meant to pull the rug out from under us to change things that are not working. This period of bad luck isn’t for nothing, though it can feel extremely distressing in the moment.

The good news is that this period of chaos will ultimately transform into a profound period of healing, if you can survive the tower’s collapse.

You May Experience Some Turbulence

Be sure to fasten your seatbelts before we take off. This is not a smooth ride. There are twists, turns, bumps, and bruises afoot. It may even feel like the world is caving in on you and you don’t know why! The sudden onset is the scariest part of Tower moments.

Keep your head up, as this pain and suffering is only temporary, as tough as it may seem right now.

Let yourself feel anything that comes your way, as the events brought on by the Tower are sudden and shocking, often leaving people out of breath by the end!

You may lose your relationship, your job, and in severe cases, your home. There is no easy way to deliver any of this bad news, or to tell you about any of this bad luck, but that’s simply part of life sometimes.

Still, the comforting thought is this: everyone gets Tower moments!

That’s right!

You’ve probably even already experienced a few Tower moments without knowing it. And— you know how many of those Tower moments you’ve survived? All of them!

Instead of dreading the pending Tower moment ahead, acknowledge it as a part of life. Bad luck will come and go, but you will feel so much stronger after it passes through. Some Tower moments are shorter than others, so you can also hope that this one goes by quickly.
